Christmas is closing in on us and there’s probably a good chance that you are still trying to figure out what to buy your person for Christmas.

It’s okay, you’re in good company. In fact, you’re among hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who have yet to finish up their Christmas shopping.

That’s why I’m writing this blog. I want to help you. This blog is designed for the following person:

  1. You don’t do the cooking in your home.
  2. You enjoy the benefits of whoever does do the cooking in your home.

Is this you? Then keep on reading! Not you? Then send this blog to someone who’s doing Christmas shopping for you so they can know what to get you!

Here are five incredible kitchen appliances that make for the perfect (and affordable) Christmas present.

1. For The Coffee & Tea Drinker: A New Kettle

For the tea and coffee drinker, having a kettle is obviously important.

Having a kettle with temperature control? Now that’s a good gift right there!

In the coffee and tea world, water temperature is crucial. It means the difference between an under- or over-extracted cup of goodness.

What does under- and over-extraction mean to the person who couldn’t care less about coffee or tea? Well, let’s just say that it indicates whether the beverage will actually taste good or not.

If your significant other, friend or family member is a coffee or tea drinker (or a hot water lover, I suppose?), this is the gift for them.

You can find it here.

2. For The Smoothie Maker & Sauce Lover: The Ninja

Most people love a good smoothie; just about every loves a good sauce. The above-pictured blender does both in seconds.

The big, clunky blenders are of course great and powerful, but they’re costly and take up quite a bit of counter-space. Moreover, unless you’re preparing smoothies for three or more people at a time, the big blender just isn’t necessary.

As an owner of the over-sized blender and the Ninja pictured above, I almost always opt for the Ninja. It’s convenient, quick, easy to clean, and gets the smoothie or sauce job done in seconds.

You can find that specific blender here.

3. For The Vegetable Cutter: The Global Chef's Knife

As the chef in my family, I can honestly say that there’s no better kitchen appliance than a quality chef’s knife.

Conversely, there’s no bigger inconvenience that deters me from wanting to cook at all than a dull chef’s knife. Cutting sweet potatoes with a dull knife is not only a significant cause for frustration but it’s also quite the time-waster.

When cooking, efficiency is key. It’s what keeps people cooking. People who like to cook (or even just want to cook) but don’t usually don’t because of the time it takes.

So, consider gifting someone this beauty of a chef’s knife. It’s not that it won’t need sharpening—every good knife does—it’s that it’s quality steel, weighted very well (the chef will appreciate this point), and makes the cooking process all the more better.

The Global Chef’s Knife was one of my favorite gifts from my wedding registry and would make for the perfect Christmas present to the one who does the cooking.

4. For The At-Home Bartender & Mixologist: A Mixing Glass & Strainer

This that gift that the receive wants so bad but probably doesn’t want to spend their own money on.

And why is that? Well, because it’s not necessary in the strict sense of the word. I myself held off on buying this for quite a while. You tell yourself that you can just use a regular glass to mix your cocktails and then strain the drink in a makeshift kind-of-way.

Now that I have a mixing glass and strainer, I couldn’t be happier. The sheer convenience of having a bigger glass that I can make several cocktails at a time in and then easily strain them into new glasses is incredible.

Again, the key to enjoyment in the kitchen is convenience and efficiency. A mixing glass and strainer provide both of these.

There are many sets out there, but here’s one that’ll make for a great gift. It even comes with some other accessories.

5. For The Person You REALLY Love: An Air Fryer

This is by far my favorite kitchen appliance I have ever owned.

It brings efficiency, ease, innovation, and incredible food to my kitchen every single time. I say for “For the person you REALLY love” in the subtitle because it can be a little pricey.

While pricey, it’s worth every single penny. And let me tell you: the return on investment is absolutely worth it.

The air fryer utilizes air circulation to bring a fried-like texture to your foods without having to using all the oil. It makes Trader Joe’s frozen sweet potato fries taste like restaurant-level sweet potato fries.

I’ve done hamburgers, meatballs, Brussels sprouts, and roasted cauliflower all in 8-12 minutes respectively. If you want to make some very happy—and yourself as the beneficiary of their cooking—this is the ultimate kitchen appliance Christmas gift.

Oh yeah, you can also use it like an oven and cook or bake dishes if you’re not in the mood for air-frying the food. The air fryer is a versatile appliance.
